Everything else is – (Power/ running water/ roads etc..) recoverable in a short term but trees…. are the biggest casualty of Vardah. It just hurts and bleeds one’s heart to see decade old trees just mangled and ripped. Ecological balance in Chennai can be a question for the next 10-20 years – summers can be tough, ground water storage can be hampered etc. let’s plant 2 trees for every tree fallen just in our home/street not even beyond, not just planting, let’s take ownership to see them grow for next 1 year atleast. Also let’s do our bit in planting saplings.
